Title Sequence Test Edit 2

Another test edit for our opening title sequence, hopefully this will decrease the amount of time of final editing, a few second shots need to be added, along with text. However we are almost there.

Also including a couple of screen shots of my editing.

For research into title designs I have compared our title design to others in the same genre to make sure it contains the stereotype of a romantic comedy.

Production Journal 4

As we have been having problems with male actors we had to re-shoot a couple of scenes.
The scenes we had to re-shoot were the office scenes, so again we took pictures and tried to get multiple takes of the same scene, so we could choose the one we wanted.

No problems occurred which was good since we are running out of time, however to save time I have been doing multiple test edits, and final edits so that when we have finished filming all we have to do is slot the final bits of footage into place.

Production Journal 3

Today I went to London to get establishing shots. Since we are running low on time, I went after my second lesson, since no other lessons are scheduled after that, however the others in my group couldn't make it, which meant I had to get more shots than usual. To make sure we got the right on we are looking for.

I took shots from different angles along London bridge to make sure we had the best view of the building, but also trying to get tower bridge further down the river to get a sense of location for the building.

The weather was cloudy again which hasn't really affected our filming so far as it has been mostly filmed in this type of weather. I will have to probably edit the brightness of the film during the editing stage.

Apart from the weather it was good filming, there was also quite a lot of people around so it set quite a working atmosphere.

Test Edit 1 'Love on the Line'

Just a very quick test edit of what we have so far, to see what we need to re-film, what needs to be changed or cut out.

Production Journal Entry 2

Today we filled the train station scene at Welling Train Station, the weather was cloudy and cold, but at least it wasn't raining which worked in our favor. We also had to ask permission from the station if we could film, which they gladly said yes.

However the male actor we found for the third time, didn't show, we seem to be getting this a lot lately. So we filmed the other scenes we could do with out him. We also took pictures for evidences as well as location shots of the filming.

Apart from the lets downs and the weather, we actually got some good footage which we can use for our opening title sequence.

From the feedback we received from the class, we put more thought into the editing and the running of our title sequence as we focused mainly on the narrative and structure of the whole concept, but also the characters biography.

Even thought the characters need to be introduced in the opening title sequence we focused on the in-depth characterisation.

Production Journal 1

Today we did our first bit of filming for our opening title sequence.

We decided to film the last scene of our  opening title sequence as it need to be filmed in school as the scene was set in an office environment.

We however had some problems, the actor we wanted to star in our title sequence dropped out in the last minute, so we had to find someone else to star in title sequence. But we managed to find some, to star in our title sequence.

We filmed the entire scene, so that only leaves the train station scenes and the house scenes.
Also we had top change the location of filming of Eddie Lee's home to make it more easier for filming, so we are going to film that scene in the common room. As their is a sofa and it would portray that eddie is not that well.
